What We Offer
Zoysia is more shade-tolerant than bermuda. This grass is primarily used for lawns. Zoysia resists disease and holds up well under traffic. It goes dormant in the winter months. This grass has medium texture, soft feel, and low growth.
Bermuda grass is one of the most popular warm season grasses. It’s traffic tolerant, and good for lawns, turf, athletic fields, and golf courses. This grass does best in full sun and has a medium to fine texture.
Our topsoil has supported centuries of agriculture, and is located in the historic ‘garden spot of Alabama.’ It is comprised of a near perfect proportion of clay and sand which makes it excellent for building up the foundation for your yard.
Delivery / Pickup
We offer free delivery (within 50 miles) if you place a minimum order of 20 pallets (39 rolls). Otherwise we charge a delivery fee based on mileage. We deliver to north Alabama. You can also pick up your pallets at our farm. Be advised that sod is quite heavy.
In 1994, the founder / owner started Lawrence County Sod farm after spending the better part of 40 years growing cotton, soybeans, wheat, and corn crops on his commercial farm. Seeing increasing demand for sod, we invested several years to get the company off the ground. We became fully operational in 1999. We are now a premier sod supplier to North Alabama. We've maintained our position by being honest, accurate, prompt, and delivering quality grass. In 2016, we expanded our offerings to include this area's legendary top soil / fill dirt.
